In 1980, “Jane” was a hit for Jefferson Airplane… I mean Starship… I mean Jefferson Starship! Yeah, that’s it. Jefferson Starship. It reached #14 on the HOT 100 chart for the band that had an identity complex. Okay, in all fairness the band changed their name through its career to reflect personnel changes. I won’t get into what the changes were- after all, that’s what Wikipedia is for!
Side note: This song always sounded to me like Toto. Yeah, just thought I’d share that with you.
Memorable lyric: “Like a cat and a mouse from door to door and house to house. Don’t you pretend you don’t know what I’m talkin’ about.”
