Song 1980-40: The O’Jays, “Forever Mine”

The O’Jays is another one of those very successful groups in the ’70s who found a small pinch of success in the ’80s, and therefore would compare them to the Temptations, ABBA and The Commodores.

“Forever Mine,” their R&B ballad, made it as high as #28 in 1980.

Memorable lyric: “We go together like the birds in the trees. I’d be in a world of trouble if you weren’t here with me.”
