Song 1980-47: Suzi Quatro, “She’s in Love with You”

You know you’ve seen her before but you just can’t put your finger on where. Hate it when that happens.

Think television. Think comedy. Think Arnold’s.

Nothing yet?

Happy Days! Yes. Happy Days. Suzi Quatro appeared in the ’70s and ’80s sitcom about life in the ’50s as Leather Tuscadero: musician sister to Pinkie, Fonzie’s girlfriend. Granted she wasn’t a regular, but in my opinion Leather was even cooler than Pinkie. Hey, she played the bass guitar! How cool is that?

“She’s in Love with You” reached #41 in 1980, just missing becoming Suzi’s only U.S. solo top 40 appearance. In 1979 she duetted with British singer Chris Norman on “Stumbin’ In,” a top 10 record.

Memorable lyric: “Treat her good. Treat her like you know you should. You may never find another girl like her.”
